Have you watched Netflix 'Zero Day'?

Have you watched #Netflix '#ZeroDay'?

In 'Zero Day', a catastrophic CPS attack disrupts critical infrastructure across the United States, leading to widespread outages of cellular, computers, electricity, and also hospital operations. Ultimately, critical infrastructure across the country was paralyzed, and many deaths actually occurred.

Are CPS attacks only possible in the movies?

No, from '#Industroyer' in 2016 to '#Industroyer2' in 2020, there were actually CPS attacks that exploited protocols (#IEC61850, #60870-5-101,104, #OPC, etc.) related to power plants/transmission facilities to remotely control circuit breakers and switches without permission, ultimately halting all processes.

(Details of Industroyer2: https://trecto.blogspot.com/2025/03/ot-attack-report-industroyer-2-most.html)

Of course, the drama expressed a lot of political objectives, but I'd like to focus more on the actual history of the CPS attacks and the possibility of future recurrence from a technical perspective.
